The email-to-CRM pipeline that pays for itself in a week
Every sales team has the same quiet tax: someone manually copying details from an inbox into a CRM, several times a day, forever. It's never the automation anyone asks for first, and it's consistently the one with the fastest payback.
The math is simple enough to put in a proposal: if copying one email into the CRM takes four minutes and it happens thirty times a week, that's two hours weekly, fifty-two weeks a year, at whatever the person's loaded hourly cost is. The automation usually costs less than one month of that.
The build is a parsing step (an AI call to extract structured fields from unstructured email text) followed by a straightforward CRM API write, with a human-review step for anything the parser scores as low-confidence rather than silently guessing.
It's not a glamorous case study. But it's the automation I'd build first for almost any sales team, because the ROI is provable in the first invoice cycle, and a provable win buys trust for the more ambitious automations that come after it.
